The Gentlemen: [www.thegentlemen.co.uk]“..one of the most exciting bands the country currently has to offer..”
Formed in Sheffield and made up by brothers Joel and Josh Cana, who make up the rhythm and bass sections respectively, Sean Walsh on guitar and ‘enigmatic, wizard-like lead singer’ Nicholas Noble, who’s as comfortable singing and breakdancing on the stage as he is on guitar or keys. Performing in and around the North of England for nearly five years, they have built-up an active following, and have played alongside artists such as The Saturdays, Colin Murray, Ash and The Motorettes.
LZ7: [www.lz7.co.uk]LZ7’s sound has been described as a mix of the Beastie Boys and Dizzee Rascal: hook-laden, infectious party hip hop with a message about getting the most out of this God-given life and making right decisions.
The vast majority of the band’s time is spent in Manchester’s high schools but the band travel widely, performing around the world to a growing fan base.
Twelve24: [www.twelve24.co.uk]Twelve24 is The Message’s newest band working in Manchester’s high schools.
The band met on The Message’s Genetik training course for trainee evangelists. Band members Ryan, Josh and Christina are aged between 18 and 26 and hail from the US and around the UK.
Their sound is described as ‘hip-pop’. Tim Owen, head of creative at The Message, describes, ‘They’re taking the big issues facing young people today and hitting them head-on. And they’re not watering down the message of hope in the gospel.’
